A rainbow of colours shine,
As the light blessed my eyes,
The scintillating streets and clear blue skies,
The fragrances of well-preserved Italian wine,
The soothing sight of the Mediterranean sea,
All awakening the soul, deep within me.
Casually strolling along the narrow coastal street,
A friendly ambience, welcoming and warm,
Tempered by the cool earth beneath our feet.
Assimilating this everlasting European charm,
As the sun drowned in the horizon, glowing,
On this ‘feel-good’, festive February evening.
